Bethany Middle School Students Raise Money to Free Slaves
Donations will be accepted through Sunday, March 9

Millions of children, men and women are held as slaves in the world.  Sometimes they have borrowed a small amount of money to pay a debt such as a medical bill.  They then find themselves in bondage to the money-lender and may work in a rock quarry breaking rocks by hand, making bricks, rolling cigarettes or cutting gemstones.  Victims are often beaten or threatened with violence if they try to leave or aren't productive enough.  These are the victims that we can help.

Middle School students continue to collect loose change from their family and friends from through March 9.  This is a follow-up to a 5-week series on the International Justice Mission that will end on Feb 17.  All funds raised by the campaign will go towards IJM’s work to free slaves and other victims of oppression.
