Disciple – Invitation to John This brand new (May 2007) Disciple study looks at the Gospel of John, and how it stands apart from the other three Gospel accounts of Jesus’ life and teachings. Throughout this 11 week course, students will discover that Jesus didn’t always speak in parables. He also taught by talking with Nicodemus, a Samaritan woman, and Mary Magdalene; He turns water into wine, calls Lazarus from the tomb, and washes His disciples’ feet. In the first chapter of the Gospel, Jesus invites His disciples to “come and see” and “follow me.” These invitations echo the goal of this study: to come and see this Jesus – to hear him speak, to see His signs – and to consider anew what it means to be His followers. As with the other Disciple courses, this class includes daily readings, a video segment, class discussions, and questions for reflection. The material fee is $15 and includes the study guide. Participants will also need a Study Bible. No previous Disciple courses are required. |

The material fee is $15 and includes the study guide. Participants will also need a Study Bible. No previous Disciple courses are required. |
