Hi Everyone,

Bethany UMC Youth Volunteers are the Dance Floor? “You’re only as good as your dance floor. I mean, you could have the talent, drive, and creativity of a dancer such as Mikhail Baryshnikov, but all that means nothing if every time you land a pirouette your foot crashes through a rotting floorboard.” This quote is taken from an article in Group magazine by Mark Devries called “Building Your Dance Floor”. This article goes on to explain that the dance floor in youth ministry, the foundation, is the volunteers. Without volunteers we can’t perfect “our dance”-Sunday school, UMYF, Wednesday night Bible Study, Mission trips, retreats etc.

There are many opportunities for parents to volunteer in Student Ministries and we have begun our recruiting process for the 2009-2010 school year. Please check out the Brochure “Opportunities in Bethany Student Ministries” on the website in the Student Ministries section under forms, prayerfully consider what you feel called to do, complete a volunteer registration form (same section of the website) and leave it in the Student Ministries registrations drawer in the main church office.
